Dear Bill,
After sending the previous email, I went to your
web-site and looked at all of the pictures, bios, etc. You do a GREAT job of
putting that together. It is so good to see all of the pictures -- and with names
below them so I can recognize them. We just recently had lunch with Terry and
Rosemary Collins. We were in Jacksonville for a visit to Mayo Clinic, and they live near there. It was great to see them and go over some of the "old times." (Loretta
was being seen at Mayo's for back pain; we thought it was due to spinal stenosis and a disc, but the neurosurgeon felt it
was likely due to facet joint arthritis, and so she had an injection of L3-L4 facet joints with complete relief of her pain. The pain is starting to come back, so she might need "radio-frequency" destruction
of the pain nerves to that area.)
We also saw Marty and Jo Joye in February when
we received an award from Mission Doctors Association, along with John Chard. I
was totally surprised to see John there; he lives not far, and so was able to come.
Always good to see such "old" friends -- old in how long we have known them and now also old in age.
Since I have a recent picture of Loretta and me
(just before our son's wedding in October), I have included it for you to put into the Creighton pictures.
Best Wishes,
Dick and Loretta
